About Common Folk Coffee
In 2013, four mates — Sam Keck, Ben Hogan, Duncan Brown and Andy Dell — came together to ask, "What gives?" The answer became Commonfolk: a shared vision to change how we think about and enjoy coffee. Today they roast in Mornington and run cafés in Mornington, Frankston and South Yarra. The coffee is roasted in small batches on custom Joper roasters, handcrafted in Portugal, with multiple Q Graders checking every batch. Their focus is relationships — single-origin coffee from smallholder farmers across Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Tanzania and Uganda, built on long-term, direct partnerships. As they put it: paying better, investing in producers, and sharing in the risks and rewards. A certified B Corp doing coffee on its own terms.
