Ben Pankhurst started Willow Bend Coffee after a run of disappointing lattes. He and his wife kept ordering coffee, then struggling to taste it under the milk. So he built blends to solve it: smooth as a black, strong enough to come through milk. Today he roasts medium to dark in Croydon, Adelaide's inner-west suburb. The beans are handpicked and ethically sourced from Brazil and Colombia. Green beans come through Southland Merchants in Brazil and Cofinet in Colombia. The result is a small-batch range, from the award-winning Godfather to the House Blend, the Matriarch and Snitch.
