Wild Timor Coffee
About Wild Timor Coffee
In 2012, four Australian Army soldiers — Shannon, Cameron, Tom P and Tom M — were deployed to Timor-Leste as peacekeepers. They made friends in the villages nearby. They also saw local growers short-changed by coffee brokers, paid far less than their coffee was worth. So they started buying it at a fair price. The green beans were shipped to Australia, and Wild Timor Coffee was born. The brand was established in Melbourne, where the first café opened in Coburg. The coffee is single-origin from Aileu, a natural Arabica-Robusta hybrid found only in Timor-Leste. Smooth and velvety, with caramel, chocolate and cherry sweetness. It is organic and fair-trade, shade-grown and hand-sorted. Every bag supports a developing community. The motto: every bean counts.
