About Walcha Coffee
It started with a job at an on-campus Starbucks in Colorado, and coffee the founder now cringes to remember. After moving to Walcha with family, home roasting caught on with friends, then a stall at the local farmers market. The response was strong enough that the home roaster couldn't keep up. A 5-kilo machine followed, then that was outgrown too. Today Walcha Coffee roasts in 120-kilo batches at a contract roastery in Sydney, with the 5-kilo roaster kept for product development and super specialty roasts. It's a family-run business in regional NSW, roasting in small batches with beans that are sustainable and ethically sourced.
