Who is Vittoria Coffee?
In 1958, two Italian brothers began roasting their own coffee in Australia. Orazio and Carmelo had migrated from Sicily. They started with a small family business importing mineral water, parmesan cheese and pasta. What they missed was the daily espresso. So they built their own piece of Italy here, "because they knew that coffee is at its best when it's fresh." They roasted premium Arabica locally, long before the market understood that measure of quality. That was the start of Vittoria Coffee. Three generations of the family have crafted every blend since. Blending origins is the family's stated expertise, roasted slowly on Probat drum roasters. Today Vittoria comes as beans, ground, capsules, coffee bags and instant. The stated aim: "to provide Australians with the best and freshest, roasted coffee in any format they choose."
