Who is Suspension Coffee?

Suspension Coffee began in 2003 as a small specialty roastery and espresso bar in Newcastle. Founders Rachel and Mishka Golski then spent twenty years roasting in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Sydney. Today the family roasts in Marrickville, NSW. Indigo fronts sales and marketing. Raiden roasts the coffee. Abraham runs his own café, Abe's Coffee Supply, in Leichhardt. It's a small-batch operation on a Diedrich IR12. The profiles took 20 years to develop, and aim for "low bitterness, maximum flavour, maximum sweetness and balanced acidity." They are espresso roasters first, and do most taste testing with short black shots. The range covers single origins, blends, and regional and estate coffees. Some of the beans are organic and fair trade. You can also get an espresso at the roastery door five days a week, or every day next to Tempe station.
