Who is Painted Blue Coffee Roasters?
Painted Blue started with a simple frustration: good coffee was hard to find. After more than a decade living and working across six continents, Dan and Charelle kept hunting for a decent cup. They carted kilos of beans onto planes and had beans posted to them rather than settle for over-roasted commercial coffee. In their words: "We won't settle on mediocre, nor should you." Today they roast at Grassy Head, on the NSW Mid-North Coast, on a Giesen W6 that takes up to six kilos at a time. It is sized for precise, fresh, small-batch roasting. The beans are single-origin and seasonal, sourced responsibly from Ethiopia, Peru, Colombia and Costa Rica.
