Honeybird roasts in Mount Beauty, Victoria, and you can drink it where it is made. The roastery kitchen on Embankment Drive does takeaway and bean sales early in the week, then runs as a full brunch cafe from Wednesday, with roastery tours and coffee experiences. The range goes beyond coffee to tea, cocoa and chai, with a Swiss Water decaf and biodegradable Nespresso-compatible pods. Honeybird calls itself a specialty roaster and tea brewing specialist, and says it is working on partnerships with farmers at origin to support coffee production for future generations. It also roasts under contract and supplies cafes, supermarkets and small retailers around Australia.
