About Gigante Coffee

Gigante started as Melbourne's first café roastery, opened in Cheltenham by Italian immigrants. More than 40 years on, the same family still runs it, now across three generations. The craft has been passed down with it. Every batch is roasted on vintage Probat machines from the 1950s and 1980s, then sold fresh the same day. The roastery now calls Dingley Village home. Gigante sources single-origin beans and micro-lots from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Peru. Its blends span smooth to bold, from Coco and Mokacino to Black Silk and Neo. The aim stays simple: the sweetest, most aromatic coffee the team can make.
