Corner Store Network

Who is Corner Store Network?

The Corner Store Network was formally established in 2017 by siblings Alice and Jake Mahar. Its roots go back over 30 years. The pair grew up at demonstrations and protests around Melbourne with their parents, which shaped their sense of justice. Today it's a social enterprise roasting in Oakleigh, Melbourne. The coffee is single-origin from Timor-Leste, bought direct from farming partners. Those partners include 386 farming families. The difference is in what it pays. For the 2023 harvest, that was 44% above the world market price and 73% more than the international Fairtrade minimum. Bags are 99% home compostable, and every kilo roasted contributes to tree planting through its Timorese partners.
