In 2010, former race car driver Dan Pappas sat down and wrote three things on a piece of paper: surfing, travel and good times. The answer was coffee. He bought a roaster, and Fonzie Abbott was born. Dan's philosophy was simple. Buy really great green bean, don't do the wrong thing to it, and you land up with a decent product. They call it Roasted Not Fried. Today the Albion roastery anchors a wider operation: roastery, brewery and distillery in one. The Farm to Palm program builds direct relationships with the farmers behind the rotating single-origin coffees and seasonal blends.
