Who is Iggys Coffee?

Iggys Coffee started in 2011, but the family's coffee story goes back to 1985. Brothers Aleks and Nik grew up helping mum and dad in their coffee roastery. To learn the trade, they worked at a high-profile café, ran a downtown Brisbane coffee shop and held a stall at the Northey Street Organic Markets. Today Iggys roasts in-house in Newmarket, Brisbane. The focus is aged coffee, roasted in small batches of up to 2.5kg at a time. Arabica beans from Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia and Kenya are "purposely aged to reduce their acidity and bring out their unique aromas and body texture". The brothers say Brisbane's heat, humidity and ocean breezes make it the ideal place to do it. Orders placed before 2pm ship the same day.
