In 2022, the Mackrell family set up Echuca Moama Coffee Roasters in Echuca, Victoria. It's the community they call home. They bring together specialty coffees sourced from around the world and roast them locally. The beans go to homes, businesses, visitors and events across the region. The range includes organic and Rainforest Alliance coffees. The town matters to them. Echuca keeps building its name as a regional tourism destination. They want visitors to taste "coffee that is genuinely connected to the place they are visiting." The roastery also runs hands-on barista training, from grinding to espresso extraction and milk texturing. The training includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the roasting facility.
