Who is Black Market Coffee?
In 2010, Angus and Jess started roasting specialty coffee in their Sydney garage. For them, coffee was never just a habit. In their words, it's "a positive distraction. The thing that gets people talking, sitting down, and coming back." Since then they've built and run seven cafés of their own. They've trained baristas and helped independent cafés serve better coffee. Today Black Market roasts out of a warehouse in Marrickville, in Sydney's Inner West. The roastery is also home to a Barista Training Centre. The coffee itself is delivered across Australia. The range covers single origins and blends, with coffees from Ethiopia, Honduras, Peru and PNG. The philosophy hasn't changed since the garage: "Great coffee, good people and a little positivity go a long way."
