Who is Zentveld's Coffee?

The Zentveld family began growing coffee in 1987. John's parents helped build the local coffee industry when only a handful of growers existed in the region. In 1993, John and Rebecca took over to focus on roasting. Rebecca was 23 when she started the roasting business on the family farm. Today the farm and roastery sit in Newrybar, NSW, in the Byron-Ballina hinterland. The farm has views of the coffee plantation and rainforest, and, on clear days, Wollumbin Mount Warning. The farm is pesticide-free and run on regenerative practices. The roastery is solar-powered. Alongside their own crop, they roast Australian-grown coffee from North Queensland. The aim, in their words, is coffee "that is both environmentally and ethically sound."
