Villino Coffee Roasters
About Villino Coffee Roasters
Villino was established in Hobart in 2007 and quickly became a key influence on Tasmania's specialty coffee scene. The café came first. Wanting more control over the coffee, the team opened a roastery in 2009 with a 5kg Probat and a couple of bags of beans. The following grew, and so did the wholesale side. That 5kg Probat is still in the lineup, now beside 12kg and UG22 machines. In 2012 a little sister café, Ecru Coffee, joined the family, a hole-in-the-wall takeaway 20 metres down Criterion Street. Sourcing leans on long-term importer partnerships and single-origin coffees, backed by a sustainability focus that reaches from producer to delivery.
