Who is The Town Roaster?
The Town Roaster roasts its coffee beans in store, in Kyneton, Victoria. Its Kyneton HQ is both coffee shop and roastery, which keeps the team connected with the people drinking their coffee. The roasting brief is short: "Consistency and quality are our only goals when roasting." Every step of the roasting process happens in-house, on a Giesen coffee roaster. The range runs from espresso blends, including the Big Easy house blend, to an organic blend and rotating single origins. A single origin is featured each month. The beans are ethically sourced. Some of the producers behind them are developing ways to eradicate waste on their farms; others channel their profits back into their communities. Subscriptions come in 250g, 500g or 1kg, and every one ships free. In their words: "you can just kick back and wait for new coffee to turn up on your doorstep."
