Who is TasCaffe Coffee Roasters?
TasCaffe started in 2000, when the Cioppi family packed up their busy lives in Melbourne and moved to Tasmania for a more relaxed lifestyle. Nick, Frank and Wendy had over 30 years’ experience between them. They began by roasting a small amount of Italian style coffee to share with friends in the Italian community. As word got out, it made its way into local cafés. Soon they were roasting for some of the busiest cafés and restaurants in Hobart. Today TasCaffe is run by Rachael and Matthew, and Matthew continues to roast the blends in the traditional style, full of body. Beans rest and “breathe” after roasting, so the coffee is settled before it is packed. There is a range of blends to suit different situations and tastes.
