Who is Slide Coffee Roasters?
Slide Coffee Roasters started in 2017 with Aaron and Rahel Bradley. They were running a café and working for another roaster, and wanted more. More connection to the people at origin. More understanding of the supply chain. So Aaron quit his roasting job and the bootstrapping began. A friend shared their roastery space. They scraped together enough for a first half-pallet of green coffee, then landed their first wholesale customer. Today Slide is independent and family owned, and roasts in Coolum Beach, Queensland. Coffee is roasted to order and shipped Australia wide. There's a Tasting Room in Coolum Beach and a café in Caloundra. Sourcing is the point. Slide buys only specialty-grade coffee, and every contract is verified above the C-Market and Fair Trade minimums. As they put it: "Great coffee doesn't come from cutting costs at origin."
