About Kai Coffee
Sean and Emily Naus had a heart for children in need overseas. Six months after moving to Australia, they ran an experiment. Could roasting coffee and selling it at markets fund kids in Uganda? They bought a small 500g roaster, and Kai Coffee was born in 2011. That home experiment grew into a roasting, distribution and training company. Today Kai roasts specialty coffee in Warana, Queensland, and has supplied over 80 cafés around Australia. They source single-origin and blends from Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil and Papua New Guinea. Every month, the business funds feeding programs at the Shepherd Center in Uganda. Coffee for Legends, as they put it.
