About Seven Seeds

Seven Seeds started in 2007, when Mark and Bridget set out to build coffee that was exceptional and transparent, in a culture open to everyone. The name comes from Baba Budan, who smuggled seven coffee seeds out of Yemen in the 17th century and helped spread coffee beyond the Arab world. Today they source, roast, wholesale, brew and retail from Fairfield, Melbourne. In FY25 that meant 107,035kg of coffee, across 46 coffees and 12 origins. Since 2018 they've published farmgate: the price paid directly to producers, for both single origins and blends. You'll find them across Melbourne, from Seven Seeds Carlton to Brother Baba Budan and Traveller. Subscriptions ship free.
