Outdoor Brew was "born in Maroubra by locals who really love coffee, outdoor adventures, and doggos." Those locals are Sharmy and Zac. Sharmy is into adventure sports, long surf sessions and spontaneous hikes. Zac brings the coffee know-how, having run a coffee business in the past. They combined the two and built "a lifestyle brand for fellow coffee-loving adventurers." Then there's Dahlia, the dog. She's Chief Happiness Officer, in charge of morale and beach breaks. Today the crew is based in Maroubra, roasting in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Beans go to home brewers and cafés across Australia. The focus is fresh, specialty and single-origin coffee, with Colombia, Papua New Guinea and Brazil in the sourcing mix.
