The ASCA has ranked Monastery Coffee among Australia's top roasters. Behind that is a small-batch operation in Windsor Gardens, Adelaide, roasting since 2013. Their standard is 'traceable' - they roast only the highest-quality coffees, traded in a transparent and sustainable way. Farmers receive significant premiums, and you get to know who grew your coffee and where. Single origins rotate through Honduras, Kenya, Ethiopia, Brazil and Colombia. This suits drinkers who want provenance they can follow and quality worth paying a premium for - without the snobbery.
