Who is Micro Lote Coffee?
Micro Lote Coffee cuts out the middleman. Its coffee is bought directly from ASPROUNION, a farmer-owned co-operative of 250 farmers in the South of Colombia. Families there farm an average of 2 hectares each. They work together to receive a fair price for their coffee. The beans are roasted in Perth, WA. The focus is Colombian single-origin Arabica, scoring between 84 and 90 points on the Specialty Coffee Association scale. In the roaster's words: "From growing to roasting to brewing, we are involved in the whole supply chain." The range runs from Light ("Sweet and Lively") through Medium and Espresso roasts, plus a Geisha. The roaster says the quality allows "a product for the whole spectrum of coffee brewing." Wholesale is on offer too, for offices, workplaces, coffee shops and restaurants.
