It started next door. Loggerhead's first blend, Welcome to the Jungle, was roasted for a neighbouring café, 212 Blu in Newtown. From there came more cafés, bars, coffees and a loyal community. Founded in Sydney in 2016, the brand draws on the spirit of 90s and early-2000s longboard surf events: community, adventure, competition and fun. Today Loggerhead roasts small batches across two machines, the Loring S70 for blends and the Probat P25 for single origins. Beans come from Ethiopia, Burundi, Costa Rica and Rwanda, bought through brokers they trust and admire, with fair pay for farmers.
