About Bun Coffee
A love of coffee and a leap of faith led David to start Bun Coffee in Byron Bay. The first roast went through in 2005. Nearly two decades on, the roastery now runs from Ballina, with cafés in both Ballina and Byron Bay. Bun is a boutique specialty roaster. It handcrafts blends and single-origins to set recipes for a consistent cup. The beans are Organic, Fair Trade, or Rainforest Alliance certified, sourced that way from the start. Roasting runs on solar power, the business is 100% Australian owned, and the takeaway cups are compostable. The range covers single-origins, blends, and Australian-grown coffee.
