Justin Kenny has over 25 years of hospitality experience. With his wife, Sarah Rohr, he has owned and operated four coffee retail outlets in Perth. He bought his first coffee roaster in 2010, when he started Elixir Coffee Specialists. The reason was simple. He wanted total control over the quality of his product. In 2013 they sold Elixir to start Loaded. Today Loaded is based in Nedlands, roasts locally in WA, and only in small batches. In their words: "At Loaded, it all begins with the bean." Beans are chosen directly from select plantations worldwide, on a seasonal basis. That way each crop is sourced at its prime. Small batches keep the process in their hands and bring out each variety's character. Subscriptions, wholesale and barista training are all on offer.
