Brent Deller founded First Batch in 2015. The brand, in its own words, "was born out of a passion for providing a premium coffee experience to the Noosa region." Today First Batch roasts in Noosa, Queensland. The team supplies local and regional cafés, with support, training and advice for café owners. First Batch installed solar in 2022, and spent grounds and chaff go to composting in local gardens. What sets the roasting apart is a fluid bed air roasting system. Every roast profile is logged and traceable, so consistency is built in. The range runs from blends and seasonal blends to single-origin espresso and filter roasts.
