Who is Fayale Coffee?
Fayale's name is a "close enough" way of saying goat in Ethiopian. That tells you a fair bit about the tone here. The roastery is in Braeside, Victoria. It runs two drum roasters, a 12kg Diedrich and a 30kg Joper. In the team's own words: "we use the freshest green beans sourced from around the globe; yes, we roast them to perfection." Fayale also roasts for other businesses. Its contract roasting covers customers from 10kg to 1 tonne a week. Cafés can have their own labelling put on Fayale's range of coffee blends. If you like a roaster that doesn't take itself too seriously, keep an eye out for Fayale deals.
