Who is El Parche Coffee Roasters?
Few women own coffee farms or produce coffee. El Parche wants to celebrate the ones who do. Its Women in Coffee range showcases beans from female producers. In the roaster's own words: "These women should be seen." El Parche is based in Coburg, VIC, where it runs its own café on Harding St. It roasts fresh every week in Melbourne, and the focus is Latin American specialty coffee. The team has personally visited farms in Colombia. Those visits built long-term relationships with the farmers behind the beans. Wholesale buyers can choose from single-origin favourites through to custom blends. El Parche has also been invited multiple times to serve at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE), and was a Small Business Champions Awards finalist.
