Over 30 single origins to choose from at any given time. Cartel Coffee Roasters is a specialty roaster in Geelong, focused on traceable, well-roasted coffee. Founder Nathan Johnston works from a small micro roastery in Breakwater, with cafés in Geelong and Melbourne. The flagship blends cover a lot of ground. Drummer Boy brings chocolate and caramel sweetness, while Sugar Hill leans fruit-forward and complex. Chief Rocker and Grand Master round out the range. Cartel pays fair to its farmers and producers, and calls that a core principle rather than a gimmick. There is a coffee subscription too, spanning blends, single origins and exotics. If you want range and traceability without the snobbery, this is a roaster worth a look.
