Gavin Gam's coffee story starts at Rose Bay's Espresso on Dover in the '90s. Frustrated by the limited options for sustainably sourced specialty beans, he went looking for them himself. That search took him around the globe. Black Drum Roasters joined his family-run group of roasting brands in 2020. Gavin now carries the title of CEO and Chief Coffee Officer. The team has traded directly with its coffee farmers for the last twenty years. The range covers blends, single origins and geisha coffee. Gavin's travels took in Ethiopian, Kenyan and Brazilian coffee along the way. The company puts it simply: "By bypassing the middle man, we can better support the little man." Sustainability is treated as a shared responsibility. The business also proudly supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
