Who is Pirate Coffee?

Pirate Coffee Roasters' Tangaroa blend has medalled twice at the Royal Adelaide Coffee Show. It placed in the Latte Section in 2024, then again in 2025. Behind it is husband-and-wife team Damian and Tracey Hamilton. Their independent roastery and brew bar is based in Salamander Bay, Port Stephens, NSW. The philosophy is simple: "No gatekeeping. No coffee snobbery. Just really good coffee." Every cup they roast fuels men's mental health programs. Anyone who serves (military, police, fire or ambos) drinks free at the brew bar. Beans are roasted in-house in small batches, weekly. Expect single origins, microlots and seasonal coffees from Central and South America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Indonesia. It suits milk-coffee drinkers after a proven latte bean. It also suits anyone who wants their coffee spend to do some good. Subscriptions run every 4 or 8 weeks, with no lock-ins.
