Who is Aromas Coffee Roasters?

It started with a trip through Papua New Guinea. A lone explorer from Brisbane found locally grown, freshly roasted coffee everywhere he went. Back home, Brisbane's early café scene ran on coffee imported from Europe, often well past its use-by date. That gap shaped the Aromas vision: "To bring this culture of fresh locally roasted beans to the coffee lovers of Brisbane." The first Aromas café opened on Hale Street, Brisbane, in 1982. Its in-house roaster filled the neighbourhood with the smell of fresh-roasted beans. Early regulars became known as Aromaholics. Today Aromas is based in Loganholme, Queensland, and roasts on a Probat 60kg roaster and a Petroncini 30kg small-batch roaster. The range runs from espresso blends to single origins, with more than 85 teas alongside.
