About Withams Coffee
Witham's story starts on a coffee farm in Zimbabwe's Eastern highlands. That is where co-founder Lance began his apprenticeship. His father ran a coffee mill and traded coffee and tea across Africa. The family later moved to Australia, where his father set up a trading company, Witham & Company. Lance spent time on a plantation in the Atherton Tablelands. Then he joined his father trading green coffee for Sydney's specialty scene. The work turned into a passion. With his wife Gill, Lance started Witham's on a small 5kg machine at the back of the shop. Today it is a Hornsby roaster with one of the largest single-origin selections in Sydney.
