Who is Three Arrows Coffee?
Three Arrows Coffee started a long way from the Blue Mountains. The team is originally from North Sumatra, Indonesia. After the success of their first company, Macehat Coffee in Medan, they came to Sydney and brought their beans with them. In 2016 they opened a coffee shop and roastery in Winmalee in the Blue Mountains, NSW. It runs as two teams. "Behind the counter, our baristas serve fresh and delicious cups of coffee; and at the back, our roasters transform green coffee beans." The signature bean is Sumatran Mandheling Arabica. Local farmers grow it in the north of Sumatra, near the team's own processing site. Cherries go through a strict selection before pulping, and are picked and processed the same day. The head roaster has over 10 years of experience. The aim is simple: "the freshest roasted coffee."
