About The Grounds Roastery

It started in 2012. When The Grounds of Alexandria opened, they decided the safest hands were their own, and founded The Grounds Roastery to roast their own coffee to their own standards. The first roaster sat in the back of the Alexandria café. A growing wholesale business pushed a move to a warehouse in St Peters. In 2024 came a permanent home: The Grounds Coffee Factory in South Eveleigh. It is a working factory, training space and café in one. The coffee spans single-origin lots and blends, sourced through long-standing relationships with farmers. Every batch is tested for flavour, aroma and consistency. There is a subscription too: 10% off freshly roasted beans, delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly, cancel anytime.
