Who is St Remio Coffee?
Every St Remio purchase is tied to the people who grow the coffee. The brand puts it simply: "It's your coffee, full circle." Its focus is Rwanda, and specifically female coffee growers. St Remio has backed two women's cooperatives there, TUK and Cocagi. The projects are concrete. In 2019/2020 it funded 4 hectares of land and 12,000 new coffee plants for Cocagi. That cooperative in West Rwanda has over 1,100 members. Later years added more land, a coffee nursery, training and the salary of two agronomists. The stated aim is to "connect the consumer to the grower". On the shelf, that means Nespresso-compatible capsules, espresso pods and ground coffee.
