About Sparks Coffee Roasters
Stephen and Kerriann Larsen spent almost a decade in hospitality before buying their own café, Bean Thru, in Armadale. Pulling the perfect shot was not enough. They wanted to control the coffee from the green bean up. So they bought a Giesen roaster, and Stephen went looking for the best ways to source and roast. Sparks Coffee Roasters grew from there, a family passion project built on one belief: good coffee should be a daily ritual, not a luxury. Today the husband-and-wife team roasts seasonal single-origin and blends in small batches, several times a week. Beans come from sustainable farms and importers they trust. Each roast is made to order, with no best-before dates. The work has earned 32 Golden Bean medals.
