Who is Short Street Coffee Roasters?

Scott Jones and Kevin Crouse first met when Kevin became a customer of Scott’s roastery, Australian Independent Roasters (AIR Coffee). Kevin was supplying the Mars Hill café in Parramatta. In 2012 they joined forces and rebranded Scott’s business as Black Drum Roasters. Short Street Coffee Roasters is their newest project. Scott has spent 35 years in the Sydney coffee scene. Kevin was born in Seattle, Washington. Between them, that’s 50+ years of coffee experience. Their guiding idea, in their words: “everyone knows each other in a short street.” Today they roast house blends including House #3, House #9 and House #12, packed in recyclable cans.
