Who is Palate & Ply?

Palate & Ply roasts every week, so the coffee is at its best when it reaches the cup. It's a café and in-house roastery in Coffs Harbour, NSW, in the CBD just east of Coffs Central Shopping Centre. Brent and Susan Roulstone run it. The coffee goes out under the name Big 5 Coffee Roasters. Every bean is Arabica, "sourced from sustainable regions around the World". Roasting includes an extra cleaning step for "a clean fresh tasting cup", and single origins go through a small-batch roaster. The range covers five coffees. Roar is a medium roast and Rage is dark. Whisper is an organic light roast, Leap is an organic Mountain Water Processed decaf, and Stampede is a single origin. Bags come in 250g, 500g and 1kg.
