Who is Glasshouse Mountains Coffee?
Glasshouse Mountains Coffee buys its green beans from private plantations, not the open coffee market. Those plantations have “a stable workforce operating under fair conditions,” in the roaster's words. Their phrase for the result: “no bad coffee karma in your cup.” The beans are grown at high altitude, with origins including Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Papua New Guinea. Roasting happens on-site in Glass House Mountains, Queensland. The roastery shares a home with a restaurant on the Bruce Highway, between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. The range covers blends, single origins and organic options, plus cold brew. Roasting and cold brew both use reverse osmosis grade water. A good fit if you like knowing where your beans come from.
