Who is Giuseppe Brothers?
In 1930, Giovanni Cassanati arrived in Australia. He was a coffee machine specialist with decades of experience in the Italian coffee industry. By the 1970s the company was also roasting and supplying coffee, trading as Caffe Moda. In 2012 it installed its first IMF roaster, bringing automation into the roasting process. Three generations on, the family business trades as Giuseppe Brothers. It roasts in Sydney, at its own roasting, packing and distribution centre. Its five coffee brands are Calima, The Smuggler, Caffé Moda, Bravo and Coffee Specialist. The focus is Italian and European coffee, plus a Colombian single origin. It wholesales to cafés, restaurants, hotels and retail. It also runs barista, roasting and cupping courses through Bepe's School.
