The Folk Roaster started with a problem, not a business plan. Founder Leihn was constantly tired. Cup after cup just to stay functional, yet the more coffee, the worse the focus. That contradiction led to a deeper look at energy, caffeine metabolism, and what separates real clarity from shallow stimulation. Ten months of controlled trials followed before the first release, the Saturday Light Roast. Today the coffee is roasted in Parkes, NSW. It is 100% specialty grade, whole bean, sourced for cleaner flavour, gentler acidity, and steadier energy. Single-origin, blends and Australian microlots all feature. The ethos is simple. Beans and knowledge that support performance, so home baristas brew coffee that works with the body rather than against it.
