Who is Enga Coffee Roasters?

Takura was born into a tribe just out of Kompiam, in PNG's Enga Province. His uncles gave what little savings they had to put him through school. He earned a scholarship to study medicine and became a doctor, the first person from the region to do so. He never forgot where he came from. Enga Coffee was established with the goal of giving small family plantations a better price for their coffee. Takura's vision was to help "first local families, then the region, then the province." Today Enga Coffee is based in Golden Point, VIC. Every bag is single-origin arabica, shade-grown and handpicked on small family allotments. They roast weekly, in light, medium and dark. A portion of proceeds supports people affected by the recent landslide.
