Brasilero Coffee

Who is Brasilero Coffee?

The story starts in Italy in 1903. Vincenzo Alviggi roasted coffee over a wood fire, and his son Lorenzo carried the craft on. In the 1980s, Antonio Alviggi and his wife Marilena brought wood-fire roasting to Australia. That was the birth of Brasilero Coffee. Today the business is based in Moorebank, NSW, and is still family-owned. Luca Alviggi is master roaster. They use wood fire alongside modern roasting, "combining time-honoured craftsmanship with contemporary precision." Beans are roasted in small batches and packed in Australia, with capacity for up to 20 tonnes a week. Brasilero also roasts for wholesale and private-label customers. Behind the scenes, they repurpose jute hessian bags and donate their coffee chaff.
