Who is Barossa Coffee Roasters?
Barossa Coffee Roasters began as a side thing. Paul and Janelle Amos were home roasting, chasing the fresh beans they couldn't find in the Barossa. The birth of their first daughter sparked the change. They wanted a peaceful, flexible life and a way to share something made with their own hands. So they bought a roaster and turned their shed into a roastery, overlooking their vines through salvaged French doors. They started in 2010, spent 2010 to 2016 at the Barossa Farmers Market, and marked 15 years in 2025. Today they roast in Seppeltsfield, in South Australia's Barossa Valley. Batches stay very small. Every bag is hand roasted, hand packed and stamped with the roast date. The buying leans to traceable, specialty-grade single origins, often organic or Fairtrade certified. Their guiding rule is "People and Planet Friendly", which covers solar power and compostable capsules.
