In 1998, Antilles Coffee could not find a fresh cup worth drinking. Most coffee on the market was stale, bitter, or burnt — often all three. So they started roasting their own, on a 15kg Toper, for their own café. More than two decades on, they roast in Tamworth, NSW, and sell direct across Australia. Every batch is roasted close to on demand, with no distribution network in between. That keeps the coffee fresh by the time it reaches you. Their blends have won awards in nationwide commercial coffee competitions, including the Decaf Supreme. They even recommend buying smaller amounts more often — enough for four to six weeks — so you never drink stale coffee. Straightforward, boutique roasting from people who started because they wanted better in the cup.
