Who is Air Roasters Coffee?
In 2002, two former accountants made a bold move. Jamie and Nick started a coffee business with small retail outlets. As it grew, they found traditional drum roasting "just wasn't cutting it." So they turned to fluid bed roasting, which roasts beans in superheated air. With help from a U.S. engineer, they designed their own roaster and sold 10 of them around the world. Glen has owned the business since 2022. The founders supplied cafés, restaurants and home baristas. The beans are Arabica. The point of roasting in air is simple. You taste the bean without it being "tipped, scorched or the burnt husk compromising the taste." The founders also worked with local cold brewers on a roast profile for cold brew coffee.
