In 2019, Hao set out to fix a frustrating problem: consistently great coffee that does not cost a fortune. That became V5 Coffee. Today the brand roasts in Bayswater, Melbourne, in small weekly batches. Hao, founder and head roaster, brings over 10 years in the trade. Every bag ships with a roast date, usually within 24 to 48 hours of roasting. The range spans single-origin coffees and blends, drawing on beans from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, Ethiopia and China. There are 70+ flavour profiles to explore, priced around 14% under Melbourne's top roasters. The idea is simple: craft and consistency, without the intimidating price tag.
